
This device can be employed as a differential optical absorption spectrometer for long-term measurements of trace gases, such as SO2, in the atmosphere. The specialized features of omt’s environmental monitor include its high resolution (<0.1 nm) and long integration times (up to 5 s).
A CCD detector with an operating range between (360 nm and 510 nm) is incorporated for these high resolution measurements. In order to protect the sensitive optical components from the harsh environmental conditions, the housing has been designed to be temperature and precipitation resistant. An option to evacuate the housing is also available.
